Total Hip Replacement
Total hip replacement is the removal of arthritic joint surface(s) of the hip and placement of metal joint prostheses. We closely follow the surgeon’s protocol and educate on total hip precautions during treatment. Progression is as aggressively as comfortably tolerated and within the protocol set forth by the surgeon. We offer home visits, which are billed as outpatient physical therapy in lieu of home health. Following home visits (or home health, if your surgeon prefers), the patient is transitioned into the clinic to complete treatment. We closely monitor the incision and skin integrity and communicate with the surgeon’s office as needed.
