Vestibular Disorders
Vestibular disorders are due to dysfunction in the inner ear. We have tiny crystals in our inner ears which need to move around. When these crystals become clumped together, it results in dizziness and nausea. These symptoms can be quite severe and can lead to vomiting and lack of desire to move. During the evaluation, our therapists will determine which ear is affected and begin treatment to regain mobility of the inner ear crystals. Once the crystals are moving appropriately, you may need additional treatment for balance improvement.
